Sammy has become my favorite cat. I am not sure when that happened or even why. Someone dumped her in our backyard when she was just a few weeks old which means that she is very comfortable with all the other animals and does not hesitate to to things like walk up to the dogs when they are eating. Hell, she will even eat out of the dogs' dish. This does tend to upset Elle, the Australian cattle dog, who whines to let us know something is not right but does not try to hurt her kitten, Sammy.
She always looks like she's just gotten out of bed wearing her pajamas and all of her hair is sticking out in every direction. She is very small girl at one half years old. If we could get one of the other cats beside her, you would be able to tell. But that is not going to happen while she is nursing. Trust me, those one-week old kittens are humongous.

Gosh she's so similar to my Smartie - they must share a common bloodline. Lovely little ginger kittens, ahhhhh!
